4 WordPress Plugins to Consider for WooCommerce MailChimp Integration

4 WordPress Plugins to Consider for WooCommerce MailChimp Auto Responder Integration

WooCommerce MailChimp Integration

WooCommerce remains one of the most popular e-commerce WordPress solutions. Unlike many other solutions, WooCommerce thrives on 3rd party integration rather than trying to build everything into the solution itself. This allows it to be more versatile and flexible. It also ensures users have the ability to add and subtract features based upon the needs of their customers and the needs of the internal marketing strategy. One of the most commonly used tools is the auto responder. MailChimp has become particularly popular among e-commerce websites for standard follow-up emails, intensive remarketing, and even casual brand awareness strategies like a weekly newsletter. Fortunately, there are a variety of effective WooCommerce MailChimp auto responder plugins to consider in order to ensure there are no integration issues.

WooChimp is considered to be one of the best options, regardless of how the MailChimp auto responder service will be used. The most unique characteristic of this plugin is it fully supports all of the MailChimp Ecommerce360 functionalities. This includes managing multiple mailing lists, subscriber groups, leveraging merge tags, and web hooks. These features are rarely included in other WooCommerce MailChimp integration solutions. Most other solutions offer the ability to add a signup option to checkout pages and throughout a website but little else.

WooChimp achieves this because it directly connects WooCommerce to the merchant’s MailChimp account. Once the connection between WooCommerce and MailChimp is established the merchant gains access to customer, product, and order data stored in MailChimp.

WooCommerce Newsletter Subscription

For merchants who only use MailChimp to manage their newsletter there is no need for the additional features packed into WooChimp. The WooCommerce Newsletter Subscription plugin is more than sufficient. Instead of relying primarily on MailChimp, this plugin uses the options screen in the WooCommerce settings. This allows customer to subscribe during the checkout and registration process. It also integrates with the MailChimp ecommerce 360 tracking, even though it does not pull in any of the additional functionality.

WooCommerce MailChimp

The third plugin to consider is WooCommerce MailChimp. It offers a simple yet flexible MailChimp integration solution for the WooCommerce platform. It will automatically subscribe customers to the designated MailChimp list. It can also create interest groups upon order creation or completion. This can be accomplished behind the scenes or based upon the user’s consent. It utilizes the WooCommerce Event Selection features to subscribe customers combined with the MailChimp Interest Groups to better segment the list based upon what the customers have purchased.

WooCommerce MailChimp Subscribe

A final popular option is the WooCommerce MailChimp Subscribe WordPress plugin. This plugin makes it simple to display a newsletter signup checkbox on checkout. It also includes a unique MailChimp List Health dashboard widget. This plugin is extremely simple and lightweight which makes it a great choice for merchants who need more than just a newsletter plugin but do not use the MailChimp ecommerce 360 features.

Between the above four options, there is a WooCommerce MailChimp auto responder integration solution for everyone. For merchants who need the maximum combination of MailChimp and WooCommerce WooChimp will likely prove to be the best solution. The WooCommerce Newsletter Subscription plugin, WooCommerce MailChimp plugin, and WooCommerce MailChimp Subscribe plugin are all designed to meet very specific needs for particular types of merchants rather than trying to provide a comprehensive all-in-one solution.
